Between Trips: Home Projects, Garden Growth, and What’s Next

It has been a while since we posted a new blog. Our last trip was a weekend getaway to Portland, and although we have not been traveling lately, we have been keeping very busy around the house.

One of our biggest projects was finishing the new siding on the garage. We completed the patio side first, and this week we tackled the alley side with the two garage doors. Now the entire garage and the garden shed have matching siding, and it is great to finally see the project completed.

The yard has also needed plenty of attention. It is prime vegetable gardening season, and after several days of warmer weather, everything really took off.

We are not done traveling, though. Our next adventure will be a camping trip north to British Columbia. We will begin with a visit to friends in Okanagan Falls, located on the southern shore of Skaha Lake in the Okanagan Valley. From there, we will travel northeast to Nakusp, continue to Nelson, head south to Grand Forks, and then make our way home, with our final camping stop at Nason Creek.

While we have been busy working around the house and in the yard, I have also been creating something new. Today, I am launching a new website and blog focused on gardening in the Pacific Northwest.

Here is the link—follow along as I share gardening ideas, favorite plants, seasonal updates, and some of what I have learned from years of gardening in the Pacific Northwest.
