San Miguel de Allende Turns 200
San Miguel de Allende turns 200 in 2026, and the city is marking the occasion with a month-long program of free outdoor performances — running from March 6 to 30, with a final event on May 15 — featuring more than 20 shows spanning ballet, mariachi, tango, folkloric dance, classical music, tunas and world music, with ensembles arriving from Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Peru, Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Panama and Togo, all taking the stage at the Explanada del Jardín Principal and other landmark venues in the heart of colonial San Miguel. Admission is free, the setting is unforgettable, and the celebration is open to everyone.
